KVK places a special emphasis on training and education of farmers, entrepreneurs, farm women, rural youth, extension functionaries as well as voluntary organizations. The center plays a First Line Extension role i.e. a linkage between research and the field in augmenting the socio-economic conditions of farmers, farmwomen. Krishi Vigyan Kendras are district level Farm Science Centers established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi for speedy transfer of technology to the farmers. These centers are engaged in transfer of latest agricultural technologies to the end users for bridging the gap between production and productivity. It works through partnership mode with allied departments and agencies.
